Freelance Guiding

Inspirational Nature Guiding, Training & Consultancy offers experienced facilitator, assessor, moderator, and mentor services. We are passionate about developing individuals and groups.

We mentor and train a wide range of skills ranging from essential knowledge to soft skills. It includes:

Inspirational Nature Guiding, Training & Consultancy is registered with ETDP SETA (Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education & Training Authority) and have been conducting Outcomes-Based Assessments since 2010.

We are also registered with CATHSETTA and the Field Guide Association of Southern Africa and conduct assessments for private individuals and a selected number of training providers.

Moderation

We conduct internal moderations on requests for a selected number of training providers.

Guide Training

Guide training and consultancy takes place in the form of mentorship to guides who are already qualified and operating within the guiding industry and where the individual or the company would like to increase their level of industry professionalism.

Trails Guide Training

Trails Guide training is aimed at already qualified guides who have already achieved the apprentice guide qualification and are working their way towards becoming backup and lead trails guides. We provide further development of existing trails guides.

Bird Guide Training

Bird Guide Training is a form of mentorship to guides who are already qualified and operating within the guiding industry and where the individual or the company would like to increase their level of industry professionalism.

Our training is offered at both a basic and advanced level to assist guides in developing the important field skills they need to operate as a bird guide, separation of tricky species, and improving their guiding knowledge, and include a rage of other skills.

We further assist with both slide and sound identification and practical assessments for the preparation of the different FGASA birding components.

Our assessment scope extends to assessing levels such as the Special Knowledge & Skills Birding qualifications.

Our training is also available to individuals, lodges and small private groups who would like to enjoy a combination of improving their birding skills and spending some time out bird watching.

Advanced Rifle Handling Training

Advanced Rifle Handling Training is available to learners who have achieved all the necessary compulsory legal requirements and competencies. These fall under the PFTC firearms proficiency unit standards.

Advanced Rifle Handling training is available for individuals, lodges and training providers who would like to increase their level of industry professionalism.

Training & Mentoring The Trainer

The training and mentoring of trainers are available to training providers who would like to increase their level of industry professionalism and develop their trainers with the essential knowledge, leadership, and soft skills which are needed to motivate learners. This allows them to discover and reach their full potential.

Our training also includes training the learner on training methodology, the understanding of training material, and the understanding of Unit Standards relating to the training. It also teaches them how to implement these outcomes into the practical training aspects.

We further mentor and advise the trainer and consult with the training provider on areas of improvement and career path development.

Our ability to identify potential within people and motivate them with our combined industry experience as guides, field guide trainers, assessors and moderators within several tourist guiding fields have afforded us the unique skills set to provide individuals with sound industry advice.
